Free fill dirt near Spring, Texas is posted by homeowners and contractors on Dirtly's map. As of October 20, 2026 there are no open listings yet and 14 supply yards within 25 miles.
Spring is an unincorporated area on the north side, between I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road, centered on an old railroad town that is now a shopping district. New subdivisions, retail centers along FM 2920 and Spring Cypress, and road and drainage projects keep graders working, with The Woodlands to the north and Klein to the west.
Spring Creek and Cypress Creek both run through the area on their way east, their wooded bottoms full of sand and silt that go underwater after heavy rain. Between the creeks the soil is sandy loam over clay, firmer than the coastal prairie, though most pads are still raised on select fill.
October often brings the steadiest dry stretch of the year, between the last storms and the winter rains. Subdivisions in Spring, Conroe, Pearland and League City push their grading hard while it lasts.
