DirtlyDirtlyDirtly works because people are straight with each other. There is no rating system and no deposit holding anyone to anything, so the whole thing runs on posts being accurate. These rules keep it useful for everyone.
This tool only works if everyone benefits. Describe what you have or need accurately: amount, condition, and what is in it.
The words below mean specific things. Using the right one saves everybody a wasted trip.
Not sure whether your pile is clean fill or mixed? Not sure how many yards? Say so in the listing, or email sean@dirtlymap.com.
Who picks it up, who loads it, and what the site looks like: access, gate, width, ground conditions. When someone can dump or pick up, and anything a truck driver needs to know before they turn in.
If your pile is gone or your hole is filled, close your listing. Every 14 days you will get an email asking whether it is still there. Pins that go quiet fade down the list, and we may remove ones that look abandoned.
Dirtly is a free map that connects people. Dirtly does not haul anything, inspect or test material, or verify listings. That includes the supply yards on the reference layer, which are shown from public information and have not been checked by us.
You are responsible for what you post, for confirming a load is what it claims to be before you accept it, and for whatever your township or county says about placing fill. Calculator numbers are estimates. Listings may be edited, hidden, or removed to keep the map useful.
