Celina is the far edge of where the metro is currently reaching, and it still looks like farm country between the new sections. That makes it one of the better places in the area to be looking for dirt, because the sites here are large and the volumes coming out of them are correspondingly big.

This is the northern end of the Blackland belt, ground that grew crops for generations before any of it was platted. Doe Branch and the creeks feeding it run through the area and set where the low ground is.
