Delivered dirt commonly runs $150–$600 a dump-truck load ($10–$50 per cubic yard plus delivery), and hauling extra away can run from a few hundred dollars for a short local dump run up to $1,400–$2,300 for full-service removal. On Dirtly, the dirt itself is usually free or cheap: you are only solving the moving. You can size up your project first to see how many yards it takes.

Waxahachie is an old county-seat town surrounded by working acreage, and the dirt work here reflects that more than it reflects the metro to the north. Ponds, pasture, drives, and barn pads account for most of it, at a slower and more deliberate pace than the subdivision edge further up the interstate.
This is deep Blackland clay, which is the reason the ground here was farmed so heavily and the reason ponds hold as well as they do. Land owners in the county are frequently both sides of this market at once: a tank being dug on one tract produces spoil, and a low crossing or a washed drive on the same property could use it. Where that does not line up, a neighbor a few miles away usually needs it.
